Celia D. Luna is a visual artist and photographer whose work lives at the intersection of image and thread. Born in the Andes of Peru, she grew up surrounded by the vibrant folklore, sacred rituals, and living color of Andean culture — a world that never left her, and that pulses through everything she makes.

Her practice centers on portrait and documentary photography, elevated by her signature photo embroidery — a process in which she stitches directly onto photographic prints, layering time, memory, and hand into a single image. The result is work that is at once document and devotion.

Rooted in Latin identity and heritage, Celia's lens moves across landscapes, celebrations, and the quiet interior lives of her subjects — capturing what it means to belong, to transform, and to carry culture in the body. Her work is a vivid, tender, and deeply personal celebration of the Latin American experience.

Now based between Miami and Mexico City, she draws from both cities' creative energy while remaining anchored to the Andes that first taught her how to see.
